Denton Associates recognises the importance of environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in compliance with all legal requirements relating to the provision of design and project management of construction fit out projects. It is the Organisation's declared policy to operate with and to maintain good relations with all regulatory bodies.

POLICY OBJECTIVES

It is the Organisation's objective to carry out measures reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop all necessary or desirable requirements and to continually improve environmental performance through the implementation of the following:

  • Assess and regularly re-assess the environmental effects of the Organisation's activities.
  • Consideration of environmental factors at design stage and promoting the values of environmentally sustainable office design.
  • Work with our suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they recognise and reduce the impact of their products and operations on the environment.
  • Promote the use of recyclable and renewable materials.
  • Minimise the production of waste, including material and energy wastage.
  • Limit the production of pollutants to water, land and air.
  • Managing the removal of waste from our office and site based activities in accordance with the principle of minimisation, re-use and recycling.
  • Ensure that each of our employees receives continued environmental training.
  • Control of noise emissions from operations.
  • Minimise the risk to the general public and employees from operations and activities undertaken by the Organisation.

We will implement our policy through our co-ordinated environmental management system and conduct six monthly audits of our performance in implementing our policy, including compliance with all legal requirements. This policy is communicated to all employees, suppliers and sub-contractors and is made available to the public.
