design

We start each new project with a blank piece of paper and an open mind focusing on your specific and individual requirements by fully engaging your own opinions and experience in what we see as being a completely collaborative process.

Each project is assigned a specific Designer, as our experience has demonstrated the substantial benefits of having that assigned Designer being fully involved with the project from concept to completion. This person will be supported by other members of the Design team as the project dictates.

The project process would begin with the analysis of your brief and the development of concept drawings in order to understand key business relationships. Space plans would then be developed in conjunction with initial finishes discussions.

Once the layouts are agreed, the plan would then be fully realised through 3 dimensional sketches and computer models thereby enabling you to fully visualise the space. Finishes would also be developed at this stage in order to give a complete picture of your project. This process would also extend to furniture selection and the coordination of business services, telephony and information technologies. When the design is approved, the finished article would then be detailed up for construction. Once the project reaches site, the designer will stay involved in the process visiting that site at regular intervals so as to ensure that the initial vision is seen through to completion.

The design of specialist areas fall under this remit, which would include mechanical (air conditioning and plumbing etc.), electrical, structural, information technology integration, audio visual and possibly acoustics. These are all integrated into the Design process and managed by ourselves, ensuring a seamless delivery of information to both you, our client, and the relevant parties that may need to see such information. Such consultations may include the landlord, Building Control, Listed Building and/or Planning Consent. We will advise on and execute the relevant statutory consent processes to ensure all works comply with appropriate regulations.
